Dementia Friends
Dementia Friendly Dallas is championing Dementia Friends Education sessions to impact the individual behaviors of people of all ages so that our friends with dementia can live, age and thrive safely in our communities. During the one-hour Dementia Friend session, participants learn:
- Five Key Messages from people with dementia
- Best practices for communication
- The differences between healthy aging and the signs and symptoms of dementia

Each new Dementia Friend is encouraged to turn their learning into purposeful action. It is up to all of us to help reduce the stigma of dementia through education and support.
